Received a notice from FBR? Our consultants review it, prepare a clear written reply with supporting documents and represent you until the matter is resolved.
FBR issues notices for many reasons: a return was not filed, figures in the return do not match information FBR has received, your wealth increased without explanation, or your case was selected for audit. Each notice has a deadline, and ignoring it can lead to a best-judgement assessment, penalties or recovery action.
A good reply is factual, on time and supported by documents. Our consultants read the notice with you, explain what FBR is asking, gather the evidence and prepare a professional written response. Where required, we file returns or revisions, request extensions and attend hearings with the tax officer on your behalf.
From the first reading of the notice to its closure, you have one team looking after your case.
Notices are issued under different sections of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Notices asking you to file a return for a year in which you were required to file.
Requests to explain bank deposits, property purchases or other transactions FBR has data on.
Cases selected for audit or where FBR proposes to amend an assessed return.
The more complete the information, the stronger the reply.
Four clear steps from your first message to completed work, with updates at every stage.
Share the notice on WhatsApp or email. We check the deadline immediately.
We explain the issue, the risk and the documents needed to answer it.
We draft a clear reply with evidence and review it with you before submission.
We submit the reply, attend hearings if required and keep you updated until closure.
Every notice gives a date by which you must respond. If you need more time to collect documents, an extension can often be requested before the deadline, but it should not be assumed.
A reply should address each point in the notice with facts and documents. Long, general or emotional replies tend to create more questions rather than fewer.
Keep copies of the notice, your reply, the submission acknowledgement and any order issued. These are important if the matter goes to appeal.
Answers to the questions clients ask us most about this service.
FBR may assess your tax on the basis of the information it has, add penalties and default surcharge, and start recovery proceedings. Responding on time is always the better option.
Yes. In most non-filing cases the right response is to file the missing return, along with a reply to the notice. We handle both.
Usually not. With your authorisation, our consultant can attend and present your case. We tell you in advance if your presence is needed.
As soon as you receive the notice. The earlier we start, the more time we have to collect documents and prepare a strong reply.
